Our Story Forged from Professional Drone Industry Experience
Drone Pilot Network was not conceived in a boardroom; - it was born in the field.
Our story begins in South Africa, where our founders own and operate a fully licenced and legally compliant drone services company. Day after day, we experienced the frustrations from both sides of the marketplace.
As operators, we saw the market becoming saturated with unlicenced pilots who, lacking the proper training, insurance, and legal understanding, were undercutting professionals and putting clients at serious risk.
As clients ourselves, when we needed to subcontract, we found it incredibly difficult and time-consuming to find and vet pilots in other regions. We knew there had to be a better, safer, and more transparent way. We decided to build it.
