Is it free to post a job?

Yes. It is 100% free to post a job on the Drone Pilot Network. You can detail your project, set your requirements, and receive applications from qualified operators at no cost.

What is the best way to hire a pilot?

We offer two methods.

  • Posting a Job (Recommended):
    This is free. Your post is sent to all matching operators in your area, and interested professionals will apply.
  • Directly Unlocking a Pilot:
    You can browse our directory and, for 20 DPN Credits, unlock the secure contact form of a specific pilot or company you like.

What is the DPN Verified Badge?

This is our platform’s mark of trust. When you see the DPN Verified Badge on an operator’s profile, it means a DPN moderator has manually reviewed their core legal and compliance documents (like their pilot licence and certificates) to confirm they are current and valid. We strongly recommend hiring verified pilots to reduce your risk.

What happens when I "Unlock Contact"?

Our unlock system is designed to protect everyone’s privacy.

  • For Job Posters (20 Credits):
    Unlocking a pilot’s profile reveals a secure contact form for you to send your first message. After you have initiated contact, the system will then reveal the operator’s direct contact details (if provided) for your future use.
  • For Drone Operators (10 Credits):
    Unlocking a job post reveals the secure contact form to apply.

Is it free to create a profile?

Yes. It is 100% free for both individual “Drone Operators” and “Drone Services Companies” to create a professional profile and be listed in our global directory.

Why does it cost 10 credits to apply for a job?

This is a deliberate quality filter and our most important feature for professionals. The 10-credit (10 USD) application fee ensures that only serious, professional operators apply for jobs. This means:

  • Job Posters are not spammed and receive only high-quality applications.
  • You are only competing against other true professionals, not time-wasters.

How do I get the DPN Verified Badge?

The DPN Verified Badge is your best tool for building client trust.

  • You must first have an active “Drone Operator” profile.
  • You can then apply for verification for 20 DPN Credits.
  • You will be required to upload your current, valid regulatory documents (e.g., pilot licence, medical, etc.).
  • Our team manually reviews them. Once approved, the badge is active on your profile for one year, or until a key document expires.

What is the difference between a Pilot and a Company profile?

A “Drone Operator” profile is for an individual. The language is built around “I” and “My Skills.” An individual operator is eligible for the DPN Verified Badge.

A “Drone Company” profile is for a business. The language is built around “We” and “Our Services.” A company profile can link all of its individual, verified pilots to its page to showcase the strength and compliance of its team.

What is a DPN Credit?

DPN Credits are the platform’s currency. We use them to keep all transactions simple and secure. The value is always: 1 DPN Credit = 1 US Dollar (USD).

Do DPN Credits expire?

No. Your DPN Credits will never expire. They remain safely in your account until you are ready to use them.

How do I buy credits?

You can buy DPN Credits in secure bundles of 10, 20, 50, or 100.

What payment methods do you accept?

We use world-class, secure payment gateways. We accept all major credit cards via PayPal (for all international users) and PayFast (for our users in South Africa).

How do I change my password or delete my account?

You can manage all your account settings, including changing your password or deleting your account, from your Account Dashboard.
